Do chickens lay eggs for us or themselves?

Chickens actually get weak from laying eggs and will eat their own eggs to re-energize themselves. Chickens are much smarter than people think and have very strong familial ties. When a speaker was giving a speech at Harvard University he described the traits of an animal without telling them what animal it was. Almost all the students guessed he was describing a monkey...but he was describing a chicken (^_^)

Baby Lamb getting pet at The Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary -

My girlfriend and her friend recently volunteered up at The Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary in Woodstock, New York (view website) and loved it! I will be posting videos over the next few weeks of animals up at the Sanctuary and they will show the sociable nature of farm animals some might not know exists.
